Question: does the IQD have to wait for the other currencies in the basket to RI???

FaithPrevails » July 4th, 2018

IMO Hazen at this point in our study there are no bad questions. IMO I am not sure if this question was ever directly asked. I look forward to the responses from KONA. I believe you are asking does the basket have to be ready with the other currencies first prior to the RI. Imo no since the basket will always be growing and changing based on a countries value and desire to be a part of the basket. IMO

BillA » July 4th, 2018

Agreed, Unfortunately we do not know what/who's currencies could be added to the SDR basket. I did find this interesting, while looking at which currencies and their proportions which constitutes the value of the SDR......There seems to be a pattern of names of countries that meet with Iraq more than others to assist in the rebuilding process.

The XDR (also abbreviated SDR) basket now consists of the following five currencies: U.S. dollar 41.73%, Euro 30.93%, Renminbi (Chinese yuan) 10.92%, Japanese yen 8.33%, British pound 8.09%.[7] Link

I've noticed these players in a number of articles within the last couple of months meeting with Iraq.

IMO...if you listened to the CC on Monday, you heard Walkingstick and Frank speak about a "level playing field"..which..IMO means they will all be current with one another and ready for exchange on an International trade...So..No, I do not believe they will have to wait for the other currencies to RI..when the IQD goes..they will all go!..IMO

The capture of Iranian money

2018/7/4 19:43

Iranian police arrested in Tehran on Monday, a man collecting 2000 kg of gold coins in an attempt to profit from the decline in the value of Iran's currency.

Iranian state television said the authorities, who did not disclose the name of the 58-year-old man, said he had collected a quarter of a million gold pieces from the market.

The police described the man as a "cashman" and that he used others to cooperate with him in collecting all this money in a period of time of ten months. The Iranian riyal has lost nearly 40 percent of its value since the United States withdrew from the Iranian nuclear deal.

The Iranians have been pushing since last month to buy gold and demand other investments instead of keeping savings in local currency. LINK
