"A Game of Telephone or Deception?" by ubiety - 7.5.18

Entry Submitted by ubiety at 4:23 PM EDT on July 5, 2018

Dear Good People of "Dinarland" and to all of our Gurus,

With a broken heart and a slow shake of my head, I read so many posts on IDC today. In the world of customer service, it is said that for every inquiry or complaint about a given subject or circumstance, hundreds or possibly thousands of customers are asking the same questions - just not taking the initiative to act. I believe the same is true here in what we call Dinarland: Questions about the validity and truthfulness of many things dinarians have heard for years as granted and true are now being examined with more honesty and actual analysis than ever before. The conclusions are simultaneously unsurprising and disturbing.

Good people with dreams of actually spreading love and hope (not to mention food, water, and shelter) have given their trust to those who have acknowledged such noble desires. But, some notable people (among those who have who have acknowledged these dreams of decency) have fed embellishments back to us in small believable bites. Caring for people is good, but being "chosen" to do so is a great honor. That embellishment was easy to embrace. Having true motivations to conduct humanitarian projects is important, but hearing that bank employees are trained to discern the sincerity of such a project presentation (and adjusting exchange rates accordingly) is a real motivation to keep our heart focused on our projects. That embellishment kept our attention introspectively on our personal sincerity, not on the truth and legitimacy of the growing list of completely unconfirmed storyline add-ons which gurus fed to us slowly over many months and years.

In reality, this explanation is facing the truth. It is not, as it is so often labeled, "negative". A red traffic light isn't negative, it's just red and intended to keep you from being t-boned as you cross the intersection. Of course, that perspective is lost on the 3 year old in the back seat yelling "GO! GOOOO!" It is the job of the adult to help the toddler understand and realize the importance of paying very close attention to the red light. It is a red light (not to mention, a red flag) to get information from someone who tells you they have "special knowledge" which cannot be confirmed in any way whatsoever. The adult in the room asks, "other than you saying so, how can we confirm this?" I believe that, because of our hopes and dreams, we have neglected the "adult questions." We have for too long ignored the "red lights" along the Dinarland path.

There are so many sweet souls out there in Dinarland who have given their trusts - generously and completely. Some hopes and dreams stem from compassionate love and caring for people in their lives - some from the simple yearning to lift up the lives of as many as their own lifetime allows. These are compelling motivators. They are readily available for manipulation by those who are so inclined and have access to these good folks.

It is no longer acceptable that confirmation is not allowed of the most basic representations received from gurus. The violation of promises (even those carefully weasel worded) must now have relationship consequences between dinarians and the gurus. When a source feeding "intel" to a guru has been wrong (especially if many times wrong) the gurus MUST join with dinarians and reject the falsity of this information. It.does.not.matter that the "source" was him/her self fed wrong intel - that merely shows the source is not well enough connected to be trusted. This is obvious and gurus know it. Let's also stay vigilant to those who press the idea that truth is subjective - we all have "our own truth". In other words, the facts need not match the words of the gurus if we just say we don't understand, or we say that in some pseudo-spiritual way it all comes together later. Of course, these and other excuses for distorting, or even fully disregarding, what is true and honest are exactly and only excuses, not real "intel" of any kind.

A guru who continues to use intel sources with failed information proves that he/she is motivated by something other than honestly informing the currency community. We don't need to impute bad motives to that guru, we simply must note that he/she insists on using failed info sources. Not one of us in this diverse community of currency investors would tolerate that thinking in any trusted advisor. It's an awful excuse that we might think we have no other sources of some kind of supposed "intel". It's long past time we understand and address the harsh and unadorned reality of Bangambiki Habyarimana in Pearls Of Eternity, “People would rather live in a community with unreasonable claims, than face loneliness with their truth”. But isthat the community we want to be? We can choose! We can choose the truth - demand the truth.

There are voices who excuse the intentional ignorance of relaying guesses, speculation, and wishful thinking of the historically wrong "intel" sources of our gurus. It is frequently said that "they're doing the best they can" or "it was true when they delivered their intel" or "things change quickly in Dinarland". Really?? Weekly (sometimes daily) for 4 years (from my personal experience)?? Every time?? Every prediction? Are we really so afraid of the truth? The great American patriot Thomas Paine said, “He who dares not offend cannot be honest.” It's time we demand the truth from our gurus, even if it's not the happy ending promised week after week!

The big-hearted Dinarland community will respect integrity. We will appreciate knowing the straight confirmed truth without embellishments. Our dreams and aspirations are global in scope and lofty in their purposes. We will respond to a shift from "rumor-tel" to truth telling - yes, all of it, including that you have no confirmed information at the moment. We look forward to living out our dreams and aspirations but we also strongly desire to stay grounded as we do so.

According to Merriam-Webster, grounded means "mentally and emotionally stable; admirably sensible, realistic, and unpretentious." I would add "truthful" to the definition. Let's go that way. Hungering for the "unreasonable claims" as in Habyarimana's Pearls Of Eternity, eventually leads all of us nowhere. I, for one, prefer and seek to make choices based on truth.

I am,
