"Loves them Some Trumpetter" by MenoReno - 6.24.18

Entry Submitted by MenoReno at 3:13 PM EDT on June 24, 2018

I must say thank to everyone for their thoughts and responses to my posts on the POTUS. We've spent years putting Iraq under a microscope, both politically and economically, and it's about time we start looking at how our country's politics and economy are doing.

One thing I notice is that the people posting are all defenders of the Trumpeter's administration. These people spit and snarl at anything that doesn't go their way, blaming the Democrats and mainstream media for all of the President's problems. I always thought the the right was imbued with family values and inspired by their religious piety. So, where does T. Rex fit into that scenario? I mean, P. T. Barnum was more credible. Has anyone noticed the turnover rate among his minions?

Now, in regards to the immigration Law of 2002 is concerned, as I recall, the Republicans were in control of the government. So, I guess it's the fault of the Democrats, right? But then, let's look at the conditions of #2. Many of these children were born in the US. The parents are the illegal immigrants. They were in the country already. Trimp's government decided to ship out the parents and wharehouse their children--at a cost of $50,000 per child.

Is this the country we really want to live in? What are we, the mostly heavily armed populace in the world by far, really afraid of? We all plan to do wonderful things with the windfall we expect to receive through the GCR/RV. Yet are we being equally magnanimous to the illegal immigrants who came here to try to do better for their families the only way they could?

Immigration has been an intractable problem for decades. Politicians on both sides have done their best to run away from the issue. I only wish that Trump had chosen a similar strategy. Instead, the POTUS tweets that illegal immigrants should be thrown out without due process. I guess the Constitution is only worth adherence if it is in chorus with what the Trumpeter is playing.
