"Back to Basics" by Hotelman555 - 8.2.17

Entry Submitted by Hotelman555 at 5:39 PM EDT on August 2, 2017

Back to Basics

While I believe comments on Political Issues and Religious beliefs have their place, it seems to be a lot of spinning our wheels and not really getting anywhere. If such rhetoric were getting us somewhere then I am for it. But most often we do not benefit, rather, we just vent frustration.

I’m a Back to Basics kind of guy. I would love some further discussion on such topics as these:

1. How in the world can we eventually hand off this enormous wealth to our kids without blowing up their lives/marriages? The sad truth is that so much legacy gifting results in horrible disasters.

2. How can we “live this wealth” yet remain anonymous and under the radar? This is important to us but seems very difficult to do. We don’t want to live like Howard Hughes, yet we do not want to draw attention to ourselves. It seems to be a sophisticated puzzle.

3. (One more practical topic, out of many) What is the best way to vet charities? Lots of hands out for money out there. Rather than reading someone else’s recommendations, we would love to be able to ask the right questions ourselves. There are so many charities, and we would love to select the best ones effectively.

Thank you Dinar Chronicles for all you do,

Hotelman555
