"Vigilant SITREP" by John - 7.9.17

Entry Submitted by John at 12:45 PM EDT on July 9, 2017

"Vigilant" - GCR/RV Intel SITREP - Sunday - July 9, 2017

This morning, we woke up to "Vigilant" and, at first glance, to be vigilant means

"keeping careful watch for possible danger or difficulties."

The truth is, any of us who've been at this thing called life for any length of time, know that there are "dangers" all around us. In light of the global reset, we've become especially aware of dangers...to the GCR of ever happening, at least for us. In my mind, there has actually never been an option for it to NOT happen...it's just been a matter of my still being around when it did. I mean, think about all the other kinds of opportunities that may have come up in your life, that may have simply take too long to materialize in a way to keep you excited and, you just walked away from it. I know people who've done that in Dinar land but, it's just never been an option for me.

The truth is, I don't know about anyone else but, wrapping my head around the notion of there having been an opposition to something so good, happening in people's lives is a task all of its own and yet, an opposition has in fact existed. Now, we stand at the threshold to a whole new way of approaching our daily lives and, we can't help but try and envision what it will like when we do finally get to step across to the other side. The truth is, if they haven't actually reached the end of their ability to mount any kind of real threat to our blessing, I believe that we're close enough to it that, if it were a rack of barbecue ribs that we're getting ready to chow down on, we can smell the hickory or mesquite smoke wafting up to our honkin' nose. We've never been this close before but, I can hear someone say, "Yes we have, John. There've been several times that they've. Even prepared to release it" but, respectfully speaking, no we haven't. You see, any of those times in the past where the potential may have existed for them to let it go, there was still the risk of some kind of shenanigan, by the opposition. Now...at least the words we're hearing, are indicating to us that not only has their capability of putting us into any kind of jeopardy been diminished, it may have been nullified completely. So, we can speculate on any holdups or, what the timing might be but, it just feels good to relax with the notion of finally being here. So, what I'd like to do now is to try and take a more in-depth look at the intelligence of our remaining "vigilant."

While, we've been waiting all these weeks, months and years for this reset to show up in a tangible way, after it actually manifests in our lives, vigilance is still a necessary virtue to exercise. As you've probably discovered from personal experience, every day can have its share of difficulties and, it never seems to fail that, just about the time we may have gained victory in one part of our lives, without maintaining at least some degree of vigilance, we get blindsided. Granted, when the financial uncertainties of life, in some way have been answered, our approach to handling life's difficulties will probably be in a less panicked state of mind but, we'll still need to deal with whatever it is that happens. In the same way, just because it's broad daylight, doesn't mean you don't watch your step when walking somewhere you've never been before, right?

The King James Version of the Bible uses the word vigilant where, the Apostle Paul wrote to Peter,

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:" 1st Peter 5:8

The American Standard words it a little different,

"Be of sober spirit, be on the alert."

The Berean Literal Bible says,

"Be sober-minded; watch."

In the English Standard,

"Be sober-minded; be watchful. " and,

In the New Living Translation which, I use most of the time, it says,

"Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil."

So, just because we may find ourselves in a financial position where we can, virtually do anything we want, doesn't mean that everything we have the potential to do, can't in some way become an obstacle in our lives.

It took some time for me to get to my frame of mind but, I learned that my choices in life actually begin, the first thing every morning. When I first become conscious, I have a choice to make.

Is it going to be a good day or, is it going to be a bad day?

You see, it really is up to me. It's up to you, in your life and, while being in a financial position to do nearly anything your little ol' heart desires, you may have a more carefree attitude, without maintaining a sense of vigilance about each facet of life, any of us could be easily tripped up and, as scary as that may sound, the way to get through every day without a constant fear of your ship sinking, is really simple. Some of you are already there because, your focus in life is from the standpoint of a growing relationship with The Lord. That's how King David could say,

"O Lord, you alone are my hope. I've trusted you, O LORD, from childhood." Psalm 71: 5

That isn't to say that David was a perfect man. He just repented when he was shown the err of his ways. That's what we need to do...and, the truth is, over time, continually coming back to The Lord, we begin to notice the fact that we actually have s relationship going with Almighty God. That's where "trust" begins to take hold of us and, those daily stumbling blocks that our adversary attempts to leave in our path, we learn to see way ahead of time, we give it the old head-fake and, go around it.

Why am I going into all of this? Well, aside from the fact that I'm just passing along some things that I've learned in life, it seemed important to bring up a thing or two that each of us needs to take to heart. I say "each of us" because, as far as I know, none of us has ever had this kind of financial capability ever before in life and, money is a funny thing. In the right situation, it can act like gasoline in an already blazing fire but, in another situation where things may be out of control, it may act like a steady flow of cool water, dowsing a raging inferno.

What if that inferno is in you? It's kind of difficult to be at peace and, having an out of control situation in life, isn't it?

What I'm beating around the bush about is, after you've gone through the exchange, the effect of this money is that, you're going to become more of who you already are. Now, to some folks, that's going to be a wonderful thing but, in others...WoW! Someone call the fire department!

So, what's the answer?

Well, it's my opinion but, vigilance is like a cut-diamond...it's multi-faceted. It's facets include practices to allow to become a part of your life and, it also includes some realizations . First of all, one of the realization is in knowing, no matter what you've even done or not done, God could never love you more than he does right now. Authentic same time, no matter how wicked you may see yourself as, God's love for you hasn't diminished one iota. I say that because, all too often, people tell me, "Yeah... I know I need to get right with God!" The problem is, you can't "get right with God" None of us has that capability. That's why Learning to trust God is so essential and, to learn to trust Him, you have to get to know Him and, in getting to know Him, it takes having a relationship with Him and, that means spending time with him every day. In spending time with him every day, you get to know the nature of God…how he speaks and, differentiating His voice from other voices that we may hear. So, where do we go, what do we do in order to spend time with God? I know it's going to sound too simple and, really religious at first and, I don't know any way around that but, you spend time in the scriptures and, you spend time in prayer. You see, it's a conversation that never ends and, in order for it to be an actual conversation, someone speaks and, someone listens and, until your spiritual ears become accustom to hearing God's voice, hearing what He's already said is made possible by reading His words and, at least some of what he's said, is found in the collection of 66 books of the Bible.

The truth is, as you begin to get further and further into your relationship with Him, His words will become part of who you are. When that is happening, you'll know to "take captive every thought" because, that's how "We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God," 2Corinthians 10:5

and, in taking captive every thought, you'll learn to control the words that come out if your mouth. Why is that important? Because,

"Death and life are in the power of the tongue and, those who like to talk with eat the fruit of their own words."
Proverbs 18

You'll also learn how to not have to worry so much about what words come out of your mouth because, they can't come out of your mouth if they aren't already in your heart. Jesus said, "Its out of the abundance of the heart that the mouth speaks."
Luke 6: 45

...and, I can sense an overwhelming taking place with some who are reading this...all concerned about the "How?"

It's really simple. First of all, make it personal. It's YOUR relationship with God, not your mothers' and, not your family's...YOURS and, that means the timing of everything is between you and God. Now, here's a motivator...Jesus said,

"If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you." John 15: 7

and, if you're all messed up about the whole Jesus being God or, not being God and, worried about the connection there, remember this...Jesus said,

"I don't speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me has commanded me what to say and how to say it."
John 12: 49

Be vigilant!

in Christ, John
