"Response to BB136 about ZIM bonds" by Reallucky1 - 6.3.17

Entry Submitted by Reallucky1 at 2:09 PM EDT on June 3, 2017

Your research is great, and I was laughing, because Thursday I was actually looking for flights to Harare, Zimbawee. The cheapest amount I could find is $1309 round trip booked through Expedia. The thing I realized though, is it is legal tender and would be good, the only problem with this is the new USD has not been revalued yet, or not announced publicly. So yes, you could fly to Zimbawee and the money would be granted, except they would make you wait until the system revalues as they would not release the money to the old system. Therefore, you would be stuck waiting for them to release the money when the system is announced. This left me with the conclusion, that until the whole system is changed, there is no purpose to fly to Zimbawee, as not only is it expensive, the money would not be released until it is announced. The other thing that is important to note, the .0276 has been on the system for months and will be changed once the new system is announced. You would be selling your self way short to take the 276B when if you wait a week or two, you will receive in the Trillions. As Yosef has explained, the value is equal to the CNY or 6.82 to 1 so if you accept the face value of 276B you are losing out on Billions of dollars.

I am no financial expert in the least, this is just what I have learned in the study of the ZIM. Turns out Zimbawee is the second rated asset rich country in the world. Yosef once again this morning quoted the price of $361.90, which many disputed on this site. I do not believe Yosef is misleading us, I believe that the value is higher than $6.82, we have been told as high as $35 dollars each, and up to $125,000 for sovereign rates. Which leaves me to the conclusion, that the money is worth far higher than the .0276 that is on the system now. The only bank authorized to do the ZIM exchanges will be HBSC and they are they only ones to give you a sovereign rate on the money.

While I realize 276 Billion is a huge amount and the interest would provide additional money, I think you are selling your self way short to fly and make an exchange. This is just my opinion, and you do not have to listen, but I do think you will be stuck waiting to get the money, just like the rest of the people that are in other Tiers. Many were given SKRs which will not be good until the system revalues. Which is what I believe you will get if you fly to Zimbawee.

I hope some of this information is helpful, and you will realize that it makes the trip mute if you are not freely allowed to receive the money, which is what I think until announced will happen. Just did not want you to make the trip to find out that you will get an SKR, which will not be good, until we see all the rates on the market. I decided that I just have to wait it out and get the best value I can, as many of my projects will require funding into the future.

Once again the information in your report is fabulous, I have saved it as it is a great explanation for people who do not understand what a bond is or that a bearer note is payable upon receipt. Want to state once more I am no financial expert, but this is what I discovered when researching about the ZIM.
