"Redneck Ascension" by islandwave8 - 5.19.17

Re: "To Heisenberg" by Hope for the World - 5.19.17

HFTW's post contains an important message.

I could never figure out why people preach love, while hating those they deem unloving. Tout being open & free, while being narrow-minded & locked in judgement re those they deem not open or free.

Being from the West Coast, I'm surrounded by alot of that.

Anyway, I've come to realize that it's a sign of being a "love newbie". Someone needing to act the superficial part, until, hopefully, the actual qualities eventually get ingested more fully.

While those who HAVE ingested them aren't necessarily having to "act the part", cause they're just doing it. (Example: Dunsford delivering the American GCR & Republic. He doesn't feel the need to wear tie-dye, or even crack a smile, while, nonetheless making this happen.)

This point was driven home to me while living in Montana, N.Idaho, N.Nevada & Alaska. The rednecks & cowboys were helping cars out of ditches, helping a neighbor get a tractor running, mending a fence so cattle wouldn't get on the road, etc. Usually the car in the ditch was an "enlightened" West Coast transplant like myself. The neighbor that couldn't figure the tractor out or had left the hole in the fence. The same "love & light" West Coasters who talk sh*t about the "neanderthal" rednecks. I got to separate that prejudice from reality once I actually ventured out into "redneck territory".

When I'd go back to the Coast to visit, I was blasted by the one-centimeter-deep superficiality of people "acting" green, acting enlightened, while not even being present to the beauty of life AS IT IS.

My child's in college now, where no one is allowed to think or speak. They must only be borg lemmings to whatever is trending on facebook. They must only do, think & be what is deemed "good".

The close-minded "liberal-minded" people there are the very definition of hypocritical. It's definitely time to retire their right-to-use of the word "liberal".

I remember one of John Lennon's fans asked him how he got to be so peaceful. John said he was actually a violent judgemental person, who was trying to learn how to be peaceful, and that's why he focused on it so much. A novel thing called self-honesty.

I also remember a quote I saw long ago & absolutely agreed with. It was from a Samurai and said something like:

"Do what you must, but never shut anyone from your heart, even for a moment." Wow, a creed I can get behind.

Does that samurai slay a home intruder or bomb-laden terrorist? Do they help the grandmother cross the street, and pull the stuck kitten from the tree? Do they do what they need to in every situation, responding appropriately to events before them? WHILE being present to the miracle of Creation?

Kinda reminds me of the phrase, "Be wise as a serpent & gentle as a dove". As in, a balance is, well, balancing. The Asian Elders seem to have that down.

Point being, severing a part of Life cause that part is not fitting into your tiny tiny narrow band of acceptability (& thinking it's someone else's fault YOU reject Gods-reflection in ALL it's forms), is an optimum opportunity for SELF-reflection.

The most obvious place to begin is to ask the question "Why in the world am I spending time reading posts I'm not interested in?"

Hopefully the remedy to that question is even more obvious.

In parting, I leave you with an excerpt from FX Strategist's "Being There" (posted recently).

"Oneness isn’t just the yummy idea of all together or one with nature and God. It is in fact also Oneness with the political figure or party you hate and revile the most. It is Oneness with the people who hurt you the most. It is Oneness with the people who are the strangest or most threatening to you. It is the parts of yourself you repress and pretend don’t exist, avoid, run from, eschew, criticize, and sequester yourself from. Alienated parts of yourself are expressed by the people you most revile because you’re not owning them."

"The next step is, once you’ve seen it, to continue to see it. The last step is to see it. Yes, the beginning, middle, and end of the means to dissolve an obsolete part of ourselves if merely to see it. Expose it to the light of seeing. It will shrivel and die under that spotlight."

I'd like to add that loving doesn't mean liking or agreeing with or even wanting to be around something. If you don't like ubity's posts, don't. If you don't want to read it, don't. But you can ACTUALLY love ubity(& etc) as in rooting for their fulfillment on their own soul journey. You can send them up to God with your heart, so God can lead them to their own next perfect expansion & growth. You can model what you'd like to see.

You can also take a brief humble pause to realize that although we've all had to endure YOUR posts, no one has been throwing a fit about it. Why? Cause we do what we must (skip over it to the next post), and keep our heart open (wish you well).

And THAT's called Redneck Ascension.
