"Editing Posts" by Harmony - 5.10.17

Entry Submitted by Harmony at 10:29 AM EDT on May 10, 2017

Good Afternoon to all my beautiful soul brothers and sisters, from a very sunny and warm Manchester!!

I read OWK’s post this morning, and have read the many responses since. And all very well thought through and considered. And I’ve loved reading the increase in good feeling posts that others have felt inspired to share with us. I’m buzzing!!

I was finding some of the less positive posts were having an effect on my ability to remain positive. And that takes a lot for me to lose my positivity, it’s my natural way of being. But I guess experiencing my 11th hour saving from eviction earlier this week has had an effect (not out of the woods yet, but a plan is in place, and who knows, perhaps the RV will be here by then, and it won’t be needed!). I’ve been very emotional this week, and have been finding it hard to see the light. Happens to us all from time to time. But you guys really helped today, thank you so much!!

So, I don’t know....... In theory, I’m very much in favour of free speech, but with that comes a responsibility. A few of you have touched on this important issue too. I have no problem with people sharing what’s truly in their hearts, we need to be a safe place here, where that can be shared. But sometimes it doesn’t feel so safe. And I have concerns about posts that seem to have no saving grace at all, other than to make us feel hopeless.

So, all posts really need to be constructive, and (I think) be worded in the kindest way possible. We have people here with so many different views on all aspects of this journey, and from all over the world (so culturally what’s ok to be said, and how, in one country, isn’t so good in another). And of course, it’s also up to us as readers and receivers of the words, their intentions, and their energies, to decide how to feel about them. We have a choice whether to be upset by them, or not.

But, to OWK’s point, apart from what I’ve written above, it appears that the decision makers/button pushers aren’t so happy with what they’re reading, what I’m picking up is that they don’t feel we’re ready yet? Well, we can ask Patrick to choose not to post them, but it doesn’t mean those thoughts and energy have gone away. They’re just not here. I like this idea in one way, because the energy of the group/here will uplift pretty quickly. Yet, I’m still a little uncomfortable about it.

I also don’t see OWK and his post in the same way as some are doing – to me he’s not being bossy or being subverted by his ego self. The energy I pick up is one of love and passion, for us all, and for having this done now. But I get why some might read it differently. When passion takes over, sometimes it can get a bit heated!!! But it’s genuine.

I’d love it if we could be self editing. To just stop before hitting that SEND button, and reading it through again, and saying “does this help?”. And perhaps doing some editing before sending. I agree with what someone else said (sorry, forget who now!), in that the majority of posts are of a positive, helpful and kind nature.

And we’re asking an awful lot of Patrick. He already spends hours every day reading each post, then posting, and we’re expecting him to edit too? I don’t know, I’m not altogether comfortable expecting him to take on so much extra work here.

So, as I usually find, I’m pretty much in the middle on this. It’s been a very interesting and worthwhile discussion though, and wondering, as the next days roll out, things may change a little on their own anyway. And keep up with the posts that have no other purpose than to lift spirits!!!

Sending love of sunny love and blessings to you all,

Harmony xxx
