"A Gardener's Guide to the RV" by Fireswan - 5.29.17

Entry Submitted by Fireswan at 10:27 PM EDT on May 29, 2017

The NPTB seem to be rolling out the RV the same way a gardener sets up a new plot in the Spring for planting. To see the correlation, get out your hoe and shovel and prepare a plot with me for a few paragraphs. I promise that it will be relevant when we're ready to plant seeds.

When preparing a plot to become a veggie garden, it is important to get rid of weeds before planting new seeds. To accomplish this, farmers who have access to plows turn over the soil, effectively rolling it so that the soil a foot underneath the ground ends up on top. The reason for this is to expose soil that is relatively free of weed seeds so that the only plants that will grow are the seeds that the farmer intended to plant.

Backyard gardeners could take the same approach if they don't have trees and other landscape features to work around. They rent a rototill and turn over the soil in a similar way farmer's do. The drawback to this approach is that it could end up destroying the roots of surrounding plants, like a beloved tree or bushes that have shallow roots. Without the feeder roots, the damaged woody plant may die on one side or loose important branches, compromising the plant's health.

Another option is to build a raised bed. The idea here is to build a box, lay down a few sheets of newspaper or cardboard on top of the ground, and then dump some sterialized top soil or compose on top of the cardboard. The disadvantage of this approach is the same as the rototilling. Instead of being ground up, the feeder roots of surrounding trees and shrubs suffocate and rot from suddenly being put under a foot of new dirt.

A third approach is to solarize, and it is usually the best approach for those who are patient. Here is the process:

1. Mow the plants in the intended spot for the garden.
2. Water the plants very well.
3. Lay down clear plastic (like the kind painters use).
4. Wait a month for the sun to create a greenhouse to solar sterlize the top inch of soil.
5. Remove the plastic and put down a weed-free mulch like newspaper, compost, or sterilized straw.
6. Plant into the mulched plot.

The advantage of the third approach is to induce the weed seeds near the surface to germinate under the ground in the warm moisture. However, when the seedlings emerge, they fry from the trapped heat caused by the greenhouse effect. Another advantage is that any feeder roots of nearby trees and shrubs actually get a boost from the extra moisture and soil enrichment from the expired seedlings.

So, when thinking about preparing an environment for the meek to inherit the earth, which of the three options do you think that the Elders are using? If they rototilled, turning over the soil, the roots of existing structures that are loved and desired would be destroyed. Not good.

If they built a raised bed, the roots of their beloved trees and bushes would be suffocated and drowned under a foot of new soil. Again, not good.

The only approach is to wet the soil to get the buried cabal weed seeds to germinate and come to the surface and then fry in the solarization. This takes about a "month", which is much longer than a day in the other two scenarios. The cabal get the news of big profits to be made. They are hydrated and sign agreements. But when they emerge into trying to access their funds they get greedy and impatient. In the light of the solarized air, they heat up, and eventually do something stupid to fry themselves in the amplified sun. The best is that nothing happens in this process to disturb the deeper roots of the trees and bushes. They actually benefit from the process.

Gurus and intel providers indicate that most of the weed seeds have germinated and have cooked themselves. Apparently the NPTB have removed the clear plastic and are now laying down newspaper, compost and mulch to protect the new crop from the threat of weed seeds that might blow in from surrounding fields. This process is finalizing. Soon the over-wintered packages of treasured "chosen ones" will be opened and planted. After planting, prefectly designed drip irrigation systems will be installed to deliver wealth managers and professionals to perfectly water and fertilize each treasured "start". The garden flourishes and is abundant and fits in beautifully with the surrounding landscape.

Thank you Elders for choosing the third option.
