Global Ho'oponopono a Huge Success!

Global Ho'oponopono a Huge Success!
Mahalo &Thank You

40,000 people participated from countries around the world in Global Ho'oponopono for Earth Day!

For the Love of Mother Earth

The Cooperatist Movement is filled with gratitude to see the response for this important expression of global healing and community.

Sharing a deeply spiritual cultural tradition across the internet requires sensitivity, and we could not have done this without the support and love from Kumu Harry Jim Uhane, and our sponsoring local non-profit, Pōhāhā I Ka Lani.

"I totally believe that Hawaii and the world needs a time to self reflect, make amends and continue to work together. I have realized that it is good to keep our culture alive but it is also a time to remember that our families did do things differently even if they were from the same islands, but understanding that we still have common goals.

Including the internet is what fits for this time and fits with the vision set forth for Pōhāhā I Ka Lani's Founders Vision: “To provide programs for the continuation and advancement of Hawaiian cultural knowledge, wisdom, and practices through the generations”. The word "advancement" was added to it a few years back as we realized we couldnʻt just be in the same routine as our ancestors as they were dealing with different things than what we are dealing with today." -Jesse & Kulia Potter

We were especially grateful to Koko Momi Kawauchi Johnson, who received permission from her Kumu (teacher) to share 2 distinctly different styles used on the islands for making offerings with Ti Leaves. The cooperation, mutual respect, and cultural sensitivity from the team, and from everyone who tuned in world-wide is exemplary of a future we will continue building together!

As people typed their prayers/intentions at home from around the world into the comments section of the live-feed, we made Ti Leaf offerings to place into the Ho'okupu (pictured above on the beach adorned with flowers). Symbolically, and energetically these offerings from around the world were then brought to the eastern-most point of the Hawaiian Islands and delivered to The Pacific Ocean.

We would also like to thank Unify, Collective Evolution, Culture Collective, Four Worlds International Institute, United Religions Initiative, and Uplift for partnering on this historic event.

We look forward to continuing this into the future. Ho'oponopono is a practice that we must each incorporate into our lives on a daily basis. Our outreach will continue through the year and we look forward to Global Ho'oponopono Day 2018.

If you would like to support the important cultural work of Pōhāhā I Ka Lani and learn more about their programs, please visit their website, or make a donation. Their educational programs include the restoration of ancient gardens in Waipio Valley, educational outreach, and youth programs.
