"Give Freedom With Your Gifts" - Guest Post by One Who Believes

Entry Submitted by One Who Believes at 3:13 PM ET on July 27, 2016

Give Freedom With Your Gifts

You do not have the right to set conditions or controls on your gifts to others. That is a violation of Free Will which is the MOST important right we have in this Universe. When you set conditions and controls on your Gifts to others you are NOT in Harmony with the Universe which harms both you and the one receiving the gift.

I have recently heard of some gifting plans that involve certain conditions that must be met in order to receive the gift and other plans that have conditions after the gift is received. This is NOT how you give a gift. A gift is not a Gift if there are any conditions to receive it, or any conditions after it has been given. A Gift must be given unconditionally to be in Harmony with Free Will (Freedom).

With that being said, a case can be made where some form of conditions and/or control seems warranted such as an irresponsible teenager, or adult who has problems handling money. So how do you reconcile the need to honor the Free Will (Freedom), of the Gift Giver and the Free Will (Freedom) of the recipient in these cases? You can't give someone a car or a house and tell them that they can't sell it, which would be control. By the same token, you can't give them cash and tell them how to spend it either.

The problem is that when you give someone money for example, and then tell them how it should be spent, they resent you for controlling them, even if that is how they would spend it anyway. No one wants to be controlled, it is against Human nature. So how can you "Effectively" help the person who needs help and still honor their Free Will at the same time?

Choose the "Perfect" Gift

First as the Gift Giver, you have the Free Will/Freedom to give whatever gift you want to give and the Receiver has the Free Will to do whatever they want to do with the gift that was received. This is a MUST. No conditions to receive the gift and no conditions on what to do with the gift. There is a perfect answer to this problem and it is in choosing the "Perfect" gift.

Cash Gifts For Big Ticket Items

Let's start with Cash Gifts with strings attached. If you want to give someone cash because you want them to spend it on a collage education, or a car & insurance, or any other particular thing (Strings attached), you simply give them the "thing" instead. Instead of giving cash and saying I want you to spend this on your education; you give the gift of the education instead. After all, you have the freedom (Free Will) to give whatever gift you want to give, and the gift you are giving is Education. You simply arrange an attorney or accountant to pay the bills that are submitted by the gift receiver. They register at a collage and have the tuition, books, etc paid by the accountant or reimbursed by the accountant. This gives them the freedom to do whatever they want with the gift. Use it or not. There is no animosity this way because the Gift was an education, not the cash. Likewise, the gift could be a car or a house the same way. Tell them to go pick out the car/house they want within a certain price range and you will pay for it. That is the gift, not the cash.

This brings up another common control issue. Many people would buy these big ticket items for someone else and then say "Don’t get a mortgage on this property or sell it for cash." This violates the No control rule of Free Will. Again the answer is not in control of the gift, but instead of giving the perfect gift. In the example of the house, give the gift of the Mortgage or rent and insurance payments. This way they get to live in the house, but are under no obligation to follow any rules or control from you. You are free and they are free. No animosity, now or later. As far as the car goes, you could give the gift of a Car Lease and insurance payments instead of cash. You are Free to choose the Gift and that is the gift. No control and no issues. This way you don’t have to worry if they will sell the car or not make the insurance payments. They will always have a car and will appreciate the gift you have given.

Cash Gifts

As far as lump sum cash gifts or cash income gifts, the same rule applies: no conditions. A gift is only given once you let go. No one has the obligation or right to monitor or control another Human Being. You give the money to them, and if they squander it or lose it, that was THEIR RIGHT. It was theirs to do with as they pleased. It is your right to give the gift or not. It is their right to decide what to do with it. That is Free Will (Freedom).

No Conditions To Receive Gift

As far as conditions to receive a gift... NO. No conditions, or hoops to jump through to "Deserve or Qualify" for the gift. That is NOT a gift. It is some sort of Power Trip on the part of the Gift Giver. A gift is Given Freely, and not earned. If they have to take some sort of "Course" or perform some act, or behave in a certain way, or any other condition, that is a POWER TRIP. The picture that comes to mind for me when I think of this sort of "Giver" (If You could call them that) is making a homeless person dance for $20, or a room for the night. When you set conditions, you are charging the receiver of the gift a price which is a loss of their dignity. That is NOT a GIFT! It is a Theft!!!

The bottom line is, be sure to honor your Free Will as the Giver, and the Free Will of the receiver of your Gift. Choose the Perfect Gift that can be given without conditions and with no strings attached. If you feel compelled to make conditions to receive the gift, or conditions after the gift, you haven’t thought it through enough. If you can't figure out a way to give your gift freely, don't give it at all.
