"Hello, Daughter of Terra!" by Rosestillarose - 7.19.17

"To: Rosestillarose and the Rest of IDC" by Daughter of Terra - 7.19.17

Hi Daughter of Terra!

Cool, we are having a conversation! I know, I know, a little less conversation, a little more action please. There's that, yes. I can't wait either. But there will still be a place for conversation. It is a little strange corresponding in front of a crowd, but sobeit as they say :)

Interesting. The act of letting go. This is a good one. You mentioned that when one lets go of one's idea, other people may take credit. There certainly is ample history of this! Especially for women, huh? We have stars named after the men who "discovered" them, diseases and their cures, and inventions, and equations to solve the hardest problems. So much effort has had to be put into guarding ones idea because loosing credit might mean starving, while the thief of your idea prospered. It also could mean obscurity instead of place in history.

I'm not sure if I understood you correctly, but it seems like you're saying that one should hold onto ones idea even past its fledgling stage so that that never happens. Here's an idea... what if that whole scenario I just described is changing? For one thing, starvation is something we won't have to worry about. I mean let's pause here. How freaking liberating is that?! Yes, ma'am! How many people have starved because their creation was stolen? I could cry for days about this, but I won't go there, because I'm talking to you. And you, backed by limitless funds give me hope.

Some say that both Jesus and Muhammad intended to install women as successors to their respective lineages. I don't know if this is true, but it could be. Both women were made objects of smear campaigns and what followed was 2000 years of no living master for Christian faithful. What a loss for humanity. Instead we got crusades in the name of Christ and terror, with the perpetrators rushing to take credit for their heinous acts. Grievous, grievous. Even if we drop the factor of women in seats of religious leadership, the rest story is still historically accurate. I am making my peace with Jesus by the way, as I realize that the things I abhor were never said or done by Him. We hear that in death, the Cabal only want to be remembered. Hilarious!

The next thing is the recognition/respect/adulation that comes with credit. That one is more subtle. I know I will be working to let that one go. Yet I think it's something to consider letting go of. Especially for selfless types who never had credit... Now I'm thinking some of us, the ones who have been consigned to the shadows, those ones should now have a face for all to see. Hmmm you have me thinking. Oops I may be changing again!

I read that early coins had images of nature inscribed on them, like a tree or a river. Later the heads of state decreed the coins should bear their image. Did they want people to remember them each time they held the coin? Did they want credit? Perhaps we will go back to the images of nature. That would be appropriate in my opinion, seeing as how nature is the true basis of monetary value. Not the cleverness of man, not an idea, but the miraculous flow of nature. She brings forth riches out of love and joy. She gives of them generously, ceaselessly, and with abandon.

Well, I've talked long enough. Back to you, if you like, Daughter of Terra. If it seems like I'm making you wrong, I'm really not. Just tossing the ball back to you. Let me add this: my field is intellectual property! How funny is that? The whole purpose of IP is to defend ideas from theft. Beneath that is the deeper purpose of protecting beautiful, sacred ideas from corruption, so that they are never used in support harmful endeavors. So to that end, I wholeheartedly concur. Hold on! Hold on! Don't let go -- until such time as that protection is no longer needed.

With a smile,

Rosestillarose
