"Love is the Answer" by Cindy - 5.10.17

Entry Submitted by Cindy at 9:46 PM EDT on May 10, 2017

The world is filled with people from all different walks of life. We may walk the same path but see things differently. Some of us have been walking the path a lot longer than others. We may have overlooked something along the way because there is so much to see, so much to learn.

Some of us are gullible and very trusting and haven't learned how to tell the difference between truth and well, non-truth. And there are those of us who have heard so many different supposed truths from so many people who know what they are talking about (supposedly), that it's hard to discern truth from non-truth.

What is truth? We've been told so many different truths that contradict with other truths, it's really difficult to know truth when it smacks us in the face. When we are told everything we have ever been taught is a lie, then how are we supposed to believe anything anyone says even when they say this is the truth?

You have people who know, people who think they know, people who think you should know they know, well you get the jest of it. We all think we know what is best for everyone else, but we don't. The shoe that fits your foot probably doesn't fit mine. I don't walk in your shoes and you sure don't walk in mine.

We are all at different stages in learning. Those of you that think you have a better understanding of how things are, or should be, may not have patience with those who have not traveled down your path. We still have things to see and to learn to hopefully get to your level of understanding.

I understand the frustration you get when you read negative posts, so do I sometimes, but I just walk right on by. I also walk on by the posts that a lot of you can't wait to read everyday and practically worship the ground the writers walk on. There are people that post on here that I relate with, and there are others that don't interest me at all. In that case, I just walk right on by.

It helps me to read opinions of others, it gives me a different perspective. If you only hear one side of the story, that is what you tend to believe.

I'm looking forward to the day when there is no negativity. When everyone can smile and be happy each and every moment of every day. I'm ready for each living being to show love for everyone, for everything. Where there is no hunger, where every living being has a safe place to call home, no sickness and no such thing as abuse. I wish there was a reset button that could be pushed, where "poof" everything that is bad is gone. I know that day is coming, I just hope I am part of making it happen.

It's not always easy to have patience, love and understanding for those who don't see things the way we see them. We are all on this journey together. Some have been on it a whole lot longer than others, some have just started. We each are at different levels of learning.

I can't change you and you can't change me. The only person we can change is ourselves and sometimes when we change the way we look at things, or the way we react and do things, then we see a change in others. We are all supposed to love one another, even those that are difficult to love. When someone says something you disagree with, you can look the other way, or you can shower them with love. You don't have to say anything to them directly, you can meditate if that is what you do, or you can pray for them. They don't have to know you are doing it, but I guarantee you, they will eventually know someone is praying for them. Your request shouldn't be for them to see things your way, but for the way that is best for them, for it to be God's will. His will should be done. Prayer can change things, not only for the one you are praying for, but for yourself as well. I know many of you are not religious and that's fine, just talk to whatever higher being, creator or source that you connect with.

Love is the answer, even when people aren't easy to love.

Cindy
