The Miranda warning is a right to silence warning given by police in the United States to criminal suspects in police custody (or in a custodial interrogation) before they are interrogated to preserve the admissibility of their statements against them in criminal proceedings.
The Miranda warning is part of a preventive criminal procedure rule that law enforcement are required to administer to protect an individual who is in custody and subject to direct questioning or its functional equivalent from a violation of his or her Fifth Amendment right against compelled self-incrimination. -Wiki
And that brings us to tonight's word: YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT
Thank you Yosef, Ruby, and No longer amused in Seattle. Those were some great fireworks yesterday. That was more fun than the most heated Jersey Shore. You made that waiting room go by quick. Yosef, you're still the best fuse man in the business. You've got a future as an instigator in anger management classes. You've earned that 1 B note. I'm still slapping the bass over here.
So what's the Miranda right for? As innocent until proven guilty we can speak freely but those conversations would not be admissible in court. But after you get that fair warning backed by the 5th amendment that protects you and gain incriminating yourself, called the Miranda warning, anything you say can now be used in court, word for word if its recorded (posts) in front of a judge or as I like to call him God. And in front of a jury and in front of your accuser. And in front of the universe. It's a very important right that each one of us has but we've heard it so many times that we fail to grasp its importance. It's set up to actually save you from yourself. Imagine that? Us chosen ones need protection from ourselves? Go figure. It's to save you from not sticking your foot in your mouth and having to pay for it later. You have the right to remain silent.
Each of us will have to stand at some point and defend our actions and our words. And let's just say up until yesterday morning, it's all been playground talk. It's all been bar room philosophy. Yarns that respond in jabs that were given all in good fun. Still stung like a wasp (that was not on purpose) but still just arguments in conversation. But I think yesterday a line was crossed. Yosef had everything thrown at him but his shoe size (You know what I'm talking about?).
So I guess it's that point in time enough evidence is been gathered for the Gods cop on patrol to read everyone Gods Miranda rights. That poor beat cop showed up to the scene with two groups screaming at each other and he spent four hours trying to get to the bottom of it. And on a side note, they want you to talk. They want you to keep going. I'm not saying that's what's going on here with Yosef, but the more you talk the more you're likely to slip up and say the wrong thing. In Dinarland, I think you'll slip up and reveal your true heart. Oy vey. Just watch any Law and Order (miss you Lenny). Those detectives do their best to get them talking especially after a Miranda warning. But you don't have to talk. You don't have to retaliate with hatred and punch people in the mouth for saying things you don't want to hear. Because calling someone's mama fat will not get you thrown in jail. However punching someone in the mouth just might. You have the right to remain silent.
I imagine the court room plays out something like this. God asks Yosef, "Do you believe what you said? Do you stand by it?" And I imagine Yosef saying, "yes (probably because he said it over a hundred times, literally). I do standby. With all my heart and soul I believe what I said about that orange faced burner president." OK. Then God asked the others, "Do you stand by what you said? Do you believe Yosef is a malevolent scum bag? and that he wants to be a transgender? And whatever you said about porn, honestly I stopped reading at that point (that was God....saying even HE didn't want to read anymore of that. That's how ugly that one got) Do you stand by it all?" And they'll probably say yes! "Yosef is a racist. He hates orange people. Baynor, Trump, oompa loompas. He hates them all and I just want to stand up for the orange man. My citrus brother and sisters. We shall overcome! I'm not an orange, I'm a man!" You have the right to remain silent.
Did you see wiki dump number seven? It's more than God who is listening. Smart TVs are now listening in your bedroom even when the powers off. And smart phones? Forget about it. Those hot mics are running 24/7. Try to hit all those notes in the shower. You have the right to remain silent.
Just remember when you're in front of the judge, the whole "I punched him in the mouth because he called my mama fat" defense doesn't hold water. That dog don't hunt. That may work on the playground and it might have worked before. And that might work in front of a God's Cop until he reads you those rights. But once you're warned, you're on your own. Everything prior to this is just hearsay, a free pass, a get out of jail free card. What you speak NOW and what you put in the universe NOW will be used for you or against you in a court of God's law. Not man's law, mind you. Because man's law says you can say whatever you want. Well almost. But God's law is a higher law, member? Teachers pretty? Bueller? We will all stand in God's court room someday and we will have to defend our words and our actions. No one is immune. And as of today, all those silly retaliatory words, and those venomous words that so easily roll off pointed tongues can now be held against us. Verbatim. As my very good friend who's a pirate on the side says, "Fairly warned are thee says I". So you have the right to remain silent. Do you understand the rights I have just read to you? With these rights in mind, do you wish to speak to me?
And that's the word
