That's where your inner guides can help. We all have inner guides that see things in different ways. They are filters from which to see things, or specific aspects of your greater total personality.
We can call one of these aspects The Inner Artist. We all have one.
To increase the flow of goodness in life, try this 3-step process and continue for at least 21 days.
Step One: Ask the Inner Artist
Step one is to find the beauty and gratitude in your current situation. Now it’s difficult for some people to manufacture gratitude if they don’t truly feel it. Perhaps you don't feel there's much to be thankful for at this time in life. You can't just pretend to be grateful if you don't actually feel gratitude.
And even for those who DO find gratitude within them, here's an alternative to simply expressing thanks: Instead of being thankful, just focus on the beauty. Tune into your inner artist, because the artist within can always find the beauty in everything -- even if it's ugly on the outside. That's the job of the artist ...to look at the world with an artist's perspective, which is a perspective that sees value that other's don't see. Just recognize it and focus on it.
Step Two: Express the Inner Artist's Vision
Next, begin to express what you inner artist is showing you. Express the story behind the vision. Express the beauty that is revealed to you from the artist's viewpoint. As you express this recognition of the value and beauty, you’ll begin to see a larger story. Start telling this larger story. Take the little story and expand it to include the beauty that your inner artist has revealed to you.
Now find a meaningful ending or outcome to the story. Find a transformation or worthy outcome that includes the larger storyline. If you cannot find this naturally, don’t hesitate to create it artificially and put it into the story yourself.
Step Three: Adjust Your World to Incorporate the New Story
With the artist's story and point of view, you can return to your larger world view and make an adjustment. This means making some changes in the real world -- changes that affect your agreements, habits, and your judgments and conclusions. Adjust your world to include the beauty. If you get stuck on this, ask the Inner Artist how to adjust a specific situation (be specific when you inquire within).
