Gratitude and OMG! by BG

14 Days of Beauty & Gratitude
Day 6: Reverence, Gratitude, and OMG
by Agapi Stassinopoulos

Gratitude bestows reverence, allowing us to encounter everyday epiphanies, those transcendent moments of awe that change forever how we experience life and the world.
--John Milton

Suggestions for the Week
Pick a day and decide to spend the whole day running “thank you” as a mantra in your heart and mind. Start to notice all of the things you take for granted; thank yourself, thank others, give thanks for all the little things around you, the opportunities that have come your way, all you’ve been gifted with, the relationships in your life. By the end of the day, write down in your journal how shifting to gratitude changed the flow of your energy and day.

When you find yourself complaining, shift into gratitude about the little things in your life, and be thankful for the things that you don’t want and you don’t have.

Pick five people in your life and write them a “thank-you” letter. Acknowledge them and tell them how much you appreciate them. Words matter. This will surprise and delight them. Make this a sacred, heartfelt experience that can move you into deep gratitude.
