RE: Questions on ZIM
Your question about the "Status" of the ZIM notes, especially the ones dated 2008-2009 is a good one. Yes, the current status of the ZIM notes/bonds we hold is: "Out of Circulation - Non Trade-able for Goods and Services." That is why they call them "Collectors Items." Frankly the more I read about it, the more I realize that it was a Genius Move on the part of Zimbabwe and here is why:
The Legal Issue
All sellers of these notes MUST call them collector's items, or anything but money. If they call them money or told you that you that you could make a lot of money with them, that would be first Illegal, since they are out of circulation, and second, it would be Financial advise which is illegal unless you are legally qualified to give such advise. This is so IRONIC since they are actually money and the MOST valuable pieces of paper on the Planet!
The Genius Angle
I have come to realize that Zimbabwe knew EXACTLY what they were doing when they printed these Multi-Trillion Dollar notes (Bonds). They caused their own money to be unusable and kept the bad guys from getting control of it. Other countries could have done it if they thought of it.
What if the US suddenly Printed HUGE Trillion Dollar notes and took the small ones out of circulation? We would have to use other money such as the Canadian Dollar, or the Chinese Yuan. Our money would have never been over printed or abused like it has been. By doing what they did, Zimbabwe took their money out of the hands of the bad guys and effectively put it into "Hibernation" for a later time when the good guys were back in control. This is that time and Zimbabwe has already put the lower size notes/bonds back into circulation starting last Monday October 31, 2016.
Also, by calling them "Value-less" no one bothered to seek them out. That made people think of them as no good when in fact they are HUGELY Valuable! How genius to print hugely valuable notes/bonds and then call them no good and valueless. The Net-worth of Zimbabwe was hiding in plain sight! Even now, when we know for a fact that they are worth Trillions of Dollars each, no one is a allowed to say so. GENIUS!!!
However, now it is time to collect back the relatively few High-Value dollar notes that are out there, and redeem them for their actual true value. Only the few of us who believed in the unbelievable, and were able to see through the "Genius" value-less ruse and see their true worth, will be rewarded for our confidence and faith.
The Bottom Line
The bottom line is that if you are holding ZIM, you had faith in a collector's item that was in fact the most valuable paper on the Planet. You were able to hold on despite the nay Sayers who tried their best to convince you otherwise, and the issue that no seller could "Legally" tell you that it actually had value and that you could make money on it. For that faith, you will be greatly rewarded.
As an added bonus to the World, only the Believers who had great faith, and were able to stand strong in the face of the organized opposition against them, are the ones who will have the most money to help the World. Who better to give the money to than those who have faith and confidence in themselves and are able to hold their own despite the odds against them? They are the ones who will persevere in their efforts to help the World using the same Faith and determination it took to get the money in the first place. It couldn't have been planned out any better than that.
