"Imminent Changes" - Thurs. PM TNT Thoughts
I believe the rates on the UN Operational rate sheet are placeholders for official rate changes sometime later today. The post said that the currency rate had changed for Egypt, but I just checked and the UN Operational rates have not been changed since November 1st where the rate for Egypt shows as 8.877 /USD. If the post is correct, Egypt may have jumped the gun...
According to the rules regarding currency announcements through the Operational rate mechanism, they have 48 hours before or after the 1st to make an adjustment to the rates and have them effective on the first. Given the number of international commerce contracts that depend on these numbers, you would think adhering to the rules is important.
So by midnight tonight EST CST or PST (I don't care) I would expect to see the rates updated at the same time as the shotgun start.
My two cents.
