Aloha. My favorite cake is Pineapple Upside Down Cake. The totally wonderful and unique desert experience creates a long lasting memory of grand proportions! With regard to the recipe, I wouldn't CHANGE a thing. The 1st thing I do is place "8" fresh, whole, round pineapple slices into a bubbling puddle of golden butter on the bottom of an "8" by 12 glass baking dish. Kind-of reminds me about an "800" telephone number! "Trick Question" How many cherries can you place around the amaZIM' pineapple 0's? Next thing to do is distribute a butter rich crumble mixture (made of brown sugar and flour) over the whole, carefully structured foundation in the transparent dish. Finally, carefully pour the rich, fluffy, delicious batter into the backing dish. Do Not Overfill! Use the oven timer, and bake for a previously arranged time. Still waiting for the timer to go off!
I'm dreaming of the event, when I turn over the so appreciated desert, and watch the richness flow from between every pineapple "0" so that the many guests will be able to enjoy the best doggon' tasting experience ever! K
