Many believe that Through SACRIFICE you are SANCTIFIED or PURIFIED.
In the Old Testament, they sacrifice animals for every sin they commit to be forgiven, sanctified or purified. The animals or the sacrifice is offered by a High Priest
Whle in the New Testament, they talked of Jesus Christ as the Sacrificial Lamb. He offered Himself once and for all to end the animal sacrifice, and while the sacrifice of Christ removes the sin and leads to the complete sanctification of the believer.
Can we do "SACRIFICE" at present? Yes, but not through taking lives.
SACRIFICE means 1.) the act of giving up something that you want to keep especially in order to get or do something else or to help someone. 2.) To surrender.
"Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions."
"¶Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven."
Although God will shower us with abundance and wealth before we enter that Golden Era, Yosef and others kept on repeating the word "SURRENDER"....
You are wealthy beyond measure, go ahead buy all the things you want and need, be happy, enjoy your new life, but, "Surrender"...
When you see someone who has no home, surrender.
When you see someone hungry and thirsty, surrender.
We know you worked hard for your new found wealth, you sacrified even your savings. But Surrender...
When abundance is at hand money will be a thing of the past. Because people will not talk about how wealthy that people, this people, that country this country. Money will no longer enslave people. It will be people helping people without expecting anything in return.
