I know very little about this RV process, only what I read here and in other groups, so I don’t know the answers to your questions. All I want to say is this: I am one who has had a life long dream of helping animals. This includes wounded, abandoned and mistreated animals of all kinds, even just those who are not necessarily abused but need a safe, happy place to live.
I understand if YOU don’t feel this falls under the definition of “humanitarian”, but I certainly do because I would sleep so much better at night if I knew I played a part in helping these wonderful and amazing beings. I can’t think of anything that would make me happier than to know that I could be beneficial in this area. I happen to be human, so if it helps me and others like me and eases our minds to help animals, how is that NOT humanitarian? May of these animals provide us with food, not to mention love and entertainment, so again… how would this NOT be “humanitarian” to help those who help us? Don’t you see that it’s all intertwined?
We are all on this planet together, and it is my opinion that we should all be doing our part to care for one another in the best way we know how, regardless of the species.
It doesn’t seem right to judge another’s dream, plan or idea, no less diminish it and make it seem “unworthy”. You should absolutely feel free to use your money for humans, in the meantime I’m going to go ahead and follow my dream, okay? It will all work out in the end. =)
In love and light,
P.S. Part of my plan has ALWAYS been to provide room and board for any homeless or low income folks who are willing to help on my farm(s). Helping homeless HUMANS and providing jobs to HUMANS so that they can help with helping ANIMALS seems like it would indeed fall into the “humanitarian project” category. Just sayin’…
