This is stated as an RV Teaching. http://inteldinarchronicles.blogspot.com/2016/09/no-doubt-rv-teaching-september-5-2016.html Within its text, it refers to "James 12:6-7".
I believe at least some of the readers will want to know that there is no chapter 12 in the Christian New Testament epistle of James. Let's presume a typo.
Perhaps the author meant James 1:6 - that's possible. In that case, it would be important to know the words immediately preceding the posted quotation. James was speaking of asking for wisdom. Remember, as written, there were no "verses". It was a letter. As one would write a letter, it reads this way, without verse breaks:
"If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord." ~~James 1:5-7
Earnestly ask God for wisdom and you can expect to receive it. That may not apply to the rest of your wishlist. Let's read and teach honestly.
