Iraq's parliament put pressure on al-Abadi to resolve the defense and interior portfolios

Baghdad Aktham Saifuddin

September 2, 2016

It fears Iraqi political parties to repeat the prime minister, Haidar al - Abbadi , the experience of his predecessor , Nouri al - Maliki, through his control of the defense and interior portfolios and managed by him by proxy, which pushed the quest for the issuance of a parliamentary decision to force the al - Abadi to resolve the two ministries file and submit candidates acceptable to them.

The deputy of the security committee of parliamentary, for "new Arab", that "there is the Commission fears that al-Abadi re-Maliki experience and is subject to the Ministries of Defense and Interior to direct his authority, which means lead at the management of the security file alone," adding that "these fears took her to the Commission on Security parliamentary into consideration and studied its effect on the security file. "

The MP, who asked not to be named, said: "The committee has held several meetings in this regard, and has prepared a scientific study of the subject, and is now seeking to issue a parliamentary resolution needed Abadi decisively the subject of the two ministries and to present candidates for them during a specified period."

And that "the time has not yet determined, but it should be short and should not have any effect on the course of the battles, including the Battle of Mosul."

He pointed out that "the Commission will submit a request to the President of the Parliament for hosting al-Abadi on two bags."

For its part, al-Sadr's parliamentary bloc announced its refusal to "vote on partisan candidates for defense and interior portfolios."

The MP said the bloc, the Messenger of al-Taie, said in a statement: "incumbent on the Prime Minister to submit independent candidates for the two suitcases, and with efficiency and competence, to form capable of advancement of the security file," explaining that "some political blocs are trying to impose candidates affiliated with the suitcases." .

He stressed that "the bloc will not vote on these partisan candidates."

The subject of defense and interior portfolios and is one of the most complex files that faced Abadi, as it neither of them resolved in light of the controversy and debate between the political blocs that are trying to get them, while skeptical observers the ability of the Prime Minister to resolve these two ministries without holding political deals satisfy a number of parties disputing.

US general: fighters organize Daesh refused orders terrorist Abu Bakr al - Baghdadi

# _uz Republic

Gen. Joseph Votal, commander of US forces in the Middle East said that al Daesh fighters refused their leader , Abu Bakr al - Baghdadi orders Manbej battles to fight to the death and preferred to withdraw to the north of the city , adding: "Al - Baghdadi asked his men to fight to the death but did not obey his orders , " believing that this poses questions about how much control the driving elements of the organization.

But US Gen. US Central Command, stressed that the organization still has a strong network rely heavily on guidance from the central leadership.

He added in an interview with reporters at the Pentagon, said he believes that Iraqi forces are "on the right path to restore the city of Mosul by the end of 2016 , " but stressed that the battle for the city would be devastating because it will take place in " the heart of the caliphate , " he said.

US General expressed regret over the clashes between the Turkish and Kurdish forces in Syria, saying that the two parties have played a major role in the fight Daesh, and stressed that Washington would not intervene militarily , but to support the fight against Daesh exclusively, but he called for Kurdish forces to withdraw to the east of the Euphrates River areas in line with an earlier agreement to reassure Turks that holds units Turkoman and Arab forces of the Democratic Syria to secure Manbej
