No but they are different there wetlands and protected in some places but the Iraqi marshs are open waterways and islands there like Lake Ochachobee in Flordia a huge enviromentally critical area that can tip the biology of the who south florida corridor . Thats half guess work . But the marsh lands are navagateble in Iraq . Not like wetlands here.

Iraq announces preliminary agreement with foreign companies to create new Habbaniya
